How Was the Shop Named?

A lot of people assume that Maggie May is named after the famous Rod Stewart song, but for us, the story is much more personal. The name is a tribute to our grandmothers—Maggy was Kerry's grandmother’s name, and May was mine. This meaningful connection gave our shop its name, representing the cherished memories and bonds with the women who helped shape us.

Our journey together began at a market stall event in November of 2023. Kerry and I collided in the best way possible, instantly hitting it off. We discovered that our products aligned perfectly—bright, bold, colorful, and cheerful. What followed was the blossoming of a beautiful friendship and the shared dream of opening a store together, a place where our unique visions could come to life.

Kerry Munns Artlife:
Kerry is an intuitive abstract expressionist whose work is deeply inspired by nature, flowers, and the world around her. Using acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media, she brings a vibrant, naive style to her pieces that are as bold as they are beautiful. Recently, Kerry has expanded into surface pattern design, taking her artwork and turning it into sustainable fabrics. These fabrics are then transformed into wearable art, including stunning dresses, jumpsuits, and more—turning art into fashion!

DoLi Designs is all about celebrating the art of accessorizing. Our creations feature hand-poured resin jewelry and flamboyant statement eyewear. Inspired by Australia’s rich cultural diversity and diverse landscapes, each piece is crafted with love and care. From funky frames to UV-protected sunglasses, our designs blend artistry and functionality, giving our customers accessories that are as bold as their personalities.
